The Eiffel Tower was built as the centerpiece of the 1889 Paris exhibition. All of the world's attention was drawn to the 1,000 foot tower which was taller than anything ever built. The tower symbolized France's power, progress and mastering of the machine age. The radical design, economy and speed of construction had proven to be the pinnacle of Mr. Gustave Eiffel's long career.
The framed size is 12.5" wide by 23.5" high.
Natural Basswood finish (as pictured) is mounted on a Baltic Blue matte and surrounded by a rich cherry finish frame.
Brass and Silver finishes are mounted on a black matte within a black frame which gives a very contemporary look.
