This Type VII-C/41 U-Boat is combined with period photographs to give people an idea about life on board a U-Boat. It was developed in close consultation with Capt. Hess and his officer's photo has been signed by him personally.
Period photographs show the U-Boat with its crew during World War II. This title includes the unique "Catch the Hat" unit logo as well as the U-boat Services badge. The cutaway is created from actual Kriegsmarine blueprints, and depicts U-995 in its current representation as a museum ship in Laboe, on the Kieler fjord by the Baltic Sea.
The framed size is 22.5" wide by 17.5" high.
Natural Basswood finish (as pictured) is mounted on a Baltic Blue matte and surrounded by a rich cherry finish frame.
Brass and Silver finishes are mounted on a black matte within a black frame which gives a very contemporary look.
